Reporting to the Foreman, the Driller sets up and operates drilling equipment to maximize core recovery – including drill component assembly, servicing/maintaining the hydraulic power-pack, installation and maintenance of water lines, maintenance and use of all drill string components and other related activities. The Driller also provides guidance, direction and training to the Driller’s Helper.

Reporting to the Driller, the Driller’s Helper supports the Driller in obtaining core samples. This requires heavy physical work such as pulling rods, emptying core tubes, assisting in drill set-up, performing routine maintenance on drill equipment and other related activities – according to policies, procedures and safe work practices.

Reporting to the President, the Foreman is responsible for directing the site operation – supervising, coaching and overseeing the team to ensure that jobs are carried out using correct procedures, methods and best practices for optimal safety and efficiency. This requires an extensive set of skills to develop the field team and provide professional representation to clients, employees and suppliers at all times. Additionally, this position is responsible for completing all administrative paper work and reports required for the head office and the safety department. The foreman is responsible to make sure that the company adheres to all safety rules and regulations under the direction of the safety officer.

Reporting to the Foreman, the Fifth man is responsible for assisting the drill operations – assisting the team to ensure that jobs are carried out using correct procedures, methods and best practices for optimal safety and efficiency. The fifth man position is responsible for delivery of required supplies and fuel to enable efficient operation of the drill program. This position may require that they operate an ATV, snowmobile, skidder, loader and/or company trucks between the base camp and the drill sites. The fifth man will be required to wear and maintain required PPE for optimal safety and efficiency. The fifth man/mechanic perform duties related to mechanical repairs and maintenance.
